Hampton Court Palace can be found to the south-west of London, on the edge of the River Thames, encircled by wooded areas & lovely private gardens. Hampton Court Palace, King Henry 8’s blossoming water shore house is located in more than five-hundred acres of woods & private gardens.
Inflaming the tone of more than 450 years of history, fancy dressed staff can be watched in Henry eights & King William third’s startling State apartments. The views, sounds and stink of the lovely Tudor kitchens where banquets were organised for Henry?s courtyard of over 500 individuals can also be viewed.

My name is Anthea Deluth and my husband is in the forces and
stationed overseas. This is only some of the time. The rest of
the time we are travelling to our next destination, and settling
into a program of education is almost impossible. That was until
I discovered that I could learn anywhere by doing my studies
through distance learning and this was a large step to take for
me. All of a sudden the excuses were gone. I could do what I
always wanted and whenever I found myself watching a television
program I didn’t particularly like, or out in the evening and
not enjoying myself fully, I thought of the time I could be
putting into my studies of something that genuinely interested
me. I took the big step of contacting the major open and
distance learning College in Britain, Oxford College ODL. They
made me feel at ease, and told me to take one step at a time. I
am now completing a diploma along with my husband. He and I are
returning to Britain shortly and we are interested in opening a
business together. He is so impressed with the ease of learning,
he has done a diploma himself and we are looking forward to a
new settled life working together and using the knowledge we now
posses through our distance learning.
I recently told my brother what my husband and I planned to do
and how we had got the education we needed. He took a job
working in construction when he was 16 and as the pay was good,
he continued on. He and his wife have two children, and the job
he had seemed to be the only one he would ever have. It was a
means to an end for him and each day he continued on doing a job
he didn’t see a way out of. He was doing as much overtime as he
could as the extra money was needed, and taking time out for
studying was out of the question. But he surprised me with what
he told me next. He seemed to be at a dead end and in a rut, but
his wife was surfing the net one day and came across Oxford
College ODL and saw that they offered numerous courses in
subjects that he had expressed an interest in. There was no need
to attend night school which would have been impossible for him
just as it would have for my husband and I, and he could take
his learning at his own pace. It took a lot of courage for him
to enrol, but soon after he did, he found himself hurrying home
to do assignments and send them through for grading. I hear the
confidence in his voice now, and he is looking forward to his
future every day. We are all looking forward to our futures and
it is because of the ease of open and distance learning. It is
now a possibility that we will be able to all work together soon
and that will bring the family closer together.
My brother’s wife says, “Why wasn’t learning so easy when I went
to school?” The answer is that the education industry is
becoming more flexible with distance learning schools who listen
to what the students want and are interested in making education
a possibility for every one.
I write this article with great thanks to Oxford College ODL and
Oxford Distance Learning for their efforts and constant battle
with the older establishments who are interested in seeing that
education remains the ‘old donkey’ that makes things difficult
for the single student and their needs simply because it is
easier for them. When people think of quality education they
think of ‘Oxford’. Oxford College ODL and Oxford Distance
Learning have not fallen short of the mark, and hopefully they
will keep pushing the boundaries on the student’s behalf. Bravo
to them for their efforts, and because of them, bravo to us!

Shih Tzu belong to people. They do not belong exclusively to the
show dog world. Shih Tzu were bred for centuries to be
affectionate companions for people and they certainly excel and
do a fantastic job at doing just that. All Shih Tzu are by their
very nature, constant close companions for their owners.
A show dog must conform to certain breed standards, such as
height, weight, and conformation as well as temperament. A
companion Shih Tzu may have minor imperfections when compared to
the AKC standards for a show dog Shih Tzu, but be wonderful in
all other respects. Many times the differences between a top
show dog who has met all the AKC standard requirements for a
show dog and a companion dog are not readily apparent to most
people. Flaws that are slight may only be detected by the
trained eye of a show dog breeder or a show judge. Being a
companion dog, regardless of small size, large size, or in
between size, in no way diminishes a Shih Tzu’s value as a
loving member of the family. Although Shih Tzu show dogs are
bred mainly for their good looks, the real purpose of a Shih Tzu
is to be an an affectionate companion for people. Shih Tzus were
bred to be companion animals centuries before dog shows and any
kind of kennel club ever existed.
If you decide you want a show dog, be prepared to pay more for
it than you would pay for a pet-quality companion. Also remember
that just because the parents are champion show dogs, there is
no guarantee the puppy will turn out to be a champion too. Very
young puppies are difficult to evaluate their exact worth as a
show dog. A show dog breeder will have to keep that puppy around
3 to 6 months to be able to evaluate accurately whether or not
that particular puppy is show dog material. If you decide you
want a show quality Shih Tzu be prepared to purchase an older
than 8 weeks old Shih Tzu puppy. And the best advice would be to
purchase an adult Shih Tzu that already has been successful in
the show ring. Even the most beautiful and what seems to be the
most correct 8 week old Shih Tzu puppy can change as it grows up
and may never reach the show potential you hoped for or was true
of its parents and ancestors. If you purchase a show dog
“prospect,” you are “guessing” that the Shih Tzu will attain a
the attributes necessary to meet the standards of a Shih Tzu
show dog. A lot of changes can take place between puppyhood and
adulthood. When you buy an adult show dog Shih Tzu you know
exactly what you are getting.
Full AKC registration allows for participation in AKC
competitions and events and the ability to register future
offspring of the Shih Tzu with the AKC. Most breeders charge
anywhere from $200 to $500 more for a full AKC registration.
Limited AKC registration does not allow breeding and limits AKC
competitions. Usually a limited AKC registration requires
spaying or neutering your Shih Tzu by the age of 6 months. A
limited AKC registration is also sometimes called a “pet
registration.” It is usually anywhere from $200 to $500 cheaper
to purchase a Shih Tzu puppy with a limited AKC registration.

As a guardian of ADHD children I often see the myriad of emotions that a parent with an ADHD child has to go through. I also get to see the happiness that they experience once they learn the secrets of minimizing hazardous communication and decrease their ‘parenting errors’.
Some of the most common parenting errors are
1) Latent errors: there errors are inherent within the system. For example in a family, there is organizational sloppiness. Responsibilities are not defined; assumptions are made and not communicated etc.
2) Predisposing errors:
a. Work overload: parents forgetting to leave work at the office and bringing the problems home. The frustration is picked up by their hypersensitive ADHD child and ‘Boom’ goes the emotional time bomb.
b. Poor team work/cooperation: Many ADHD parents try to take on all the responsibilities. They refuse help and wear themselves into the ground. Understand that playing martyr will get you poor results, simply because you will lose any respect that your child has for you.
c. Inadequate strategies: Most parents are not prepared for parenthood. Usually the role is incidental and therefore there is a distinct lack of good parenting techniques many of which can easily be learnt before hand.
d. H.A.L.T. parents: Hungry, Angry, Late, Tired parents. The repercussions of each should be obvious.
e. Difficult children: ADHD parents need to be very careful in labeling situations, when an ADHD child behaves difficultly it is usually an external trigger factor that caused it. Your job as the parent is to find out.
3) Active errors:
a. Slips, you think about one thing get distracted and you say something else
b. Lapses, failing to follow through with something you said to your child. If it happens once your credibility takes a nose dive and you will be tested again and again by your ADHD child to reestablish the boundaries.
c. Frank mistakes, simply scolding when you know that there is a better way.
Being aware of the possible parenting errors that can occur is the first step towards success, here is a simple 6 step system that you can use to improve the satisfaction of the parent child interaction as well as the quality of relationship.
A: acknowledge.
S: say sorry
S: story
I: inquire
S: solution
T: track
Acknowledge is the simply act of empathizing with your ADHD child and affirm to them that you are present and listening to their concerns
Say sorry when you are indeed in the wrong or even if you are not. Often times saying, ‘I’m sorry that we are having difficulties in understanding each other. I really love you and would like to help as best as I can.’ Will diffuse the situation and allow the ADHD parent to reestablish communication instead of go into an adversarial role.
Story telling is often the best way to engage your child. As an ADHD parent you should develop a coherent story, one that includes your ADHD child and the outcome that is desired. Think of it as super happy ending bedtime stories, but instead of characters use your family members and depict the results you want to achieve.
Inquire and unravel the mysteries of your ADHD child’s mind. Find out by asking questions and patiently wait for an answer. You will find that more often than not, they have the perfect reason behind their behaviour, you just need to find out what that is.
Solution orientation is the name of the game. However, always ask for your ADHD child’s opinion before making your own judgment call. Know that the ADHD child doesn’t like to take instructions, so involving them in decision making is a crucial step for effective communication.
Track the results of the interaction for the next few days. Do not assume that when you and your ADHD child reach a conclusion together that all will be well. Remember, you as the ADHD parent must take an active role in securing the relationship. When you do, the quality of your parent child relationship will improve significantly.
My best wishes to you and your children.

There are many different reasons that can cause an engine
overheat, but they all have in common three aspects. The three
aspects which all engine overheat factors have in common are
that they cause that the heating system can not get rid of heat,
they cause a loss of coolant or they directly cause too much
heat in the engine.
One first problem which might be the cause of an engine overheat
is a problem with the radiator cap and the pressure it holds. If
the radiator cap does not hold pressure correctly then coolant
could boil and therefore the engine would overheat. Another
reason might be caused by thermostat failures; it is
recommendable that you check it.
The car engine might also overheat due to coolant leaks such as
those from the radiator, the hoses, the water pump, the freeze
plugs or any others. Also, problems in the water pump could be
the cause and therefore you should check it and replace it in
case it is needed.
Some other reasons by which the car engine could overheat are
problems in the exhaust system which you can discover by
checking vacuum readings, pipes and converter. Besides, you
should also make sure that the radiator hose has not collapsed
and the ignition timing is working properly.
You should also check the electric cooling fan by making sure
that the fan motor, the relay and temperature are correct or
otherwise it could cause the engine to overheat. Besides this,
you should also check the radiator in case there are any debris
in it as well as you should check its hose in case it has
collapsed.
It is also recommendable that you check the antifreeze
concentration which should be 50/50 in order to be correct,
otherwise it could cause the car engine to overheat. If you do
not find why your engine does overheat, you should ask a
mechanic or an expert for advice. You should not try to fix this
if you do not have the proper tools and general car knowledge
necessary for it.

Regardless, if your goal is to make a sale or educate. You don’t want to fall prey to the mistakes that many presenters make — loading us down with piles and piles of information and communication hodgepodge. Excellent presentations are designed to anchor in the key points that are relevant for influencing the listeners to take some kind of action.
When you make a presentation to a committee, corporate board of directors or presenting an all day seminar, your aim is to accomplish two very important goals. First, it is crucial that your audience walk away with a “Top of the Mind” memorable experience. Second, you want to influence your audience to take an immediate or future action. Every, presentation should have an outcome and action steps for your audience to take.
For us to accomplish those two goals we need to help the audience focus-in on our presentation so that we touch and communicate with the head and heart of our audience. Effectively, we want to mesmerize, hold their attention and filter out any outside distractions that would compete with our presentation and desired outcome.
We are visual beings by nature. Our eyes, being the most powerful information conduit to the brain, are always in motion feeding us images and disrupting our thought processes. People have limited attention spans and information processing capabilities. Therefore, we as presenters need to simplify the communications to hold attention for influencing the thinking of our audience.
I use a very powerful communication technique that anyone can apply with their very next presentation to accomplish extraordinary results. Your presentation and visuals will communicate faster, clearer, better and be more congruent — eliminating the communication hodgepodge that so many presenters use.
First, reduce all you visuals to pictures and either eliminate words and numbers altogether or reduce them to three or less per visual. Visuals should be used as anchors to support your key points that you want your audience to remember.
Second, your visuals must be associated in some ridiculous and/or illogical way for transferring key points and word phases for your audience to remember and retain your information.
A simple example is: You are giving a financial report showing an increase in earnings for your division. You could use a rising balloon lifting a building block, showing the percentage of increase stenciled in the block, giving your audience and image of growth and profits. Visuals that are your typical bar charts, graphs, and lines of words are boring and have a lesser impact connecting with your audience. Whereas, ridiculous and/or illogical visuals add retention, entertainment, and can illustrate with greater impact the benefits, not just facts and figures of your presentation.
Third, support your key points and visuals with a story.
Here’s how it works:
In delivering a presentation, recently to a group of sales people, one of my key points was that we have to understand our customers buying strategies and buying incentives for us to influence them to make a purchase from us. The visual that I used (now visualize this in your mind) was a man peering over a chessboard with his chin snuggled on his tightly clutched hands with a very pensive look in his eyes. The picture was stretched and elongated to exaggerate the image to influence the inner thinking process that our customers go though in their decision-making.
I then illustrated the point with a story of how one of my clients went about uncovering his clients’ strategies, buying incentives and how this same presentation process helped him get the sales and acquire a major key account for his company. Most importantly during the story I explained how my client was able to fine out what would create a win situation for his client. That gave way, for transitioning, to the next key point and slide in the presentation.
The visual was dynamic in that it supported the key points and anchored the story in the mind of the audience. The story used was linked back to the visual and was congruent with the key points.
This presentation process reinforces your points and makes them easy to understand. You can take any subject from a ten-minute annual report presentation to an all-day training session and use this approach of structuring your presentations. When you substitute lines of words, boring bar charts and graphs, with key points, supportive stories anchored with ridiculous visuals, you make it easy for your audience to assimilate, focus, remember and become engage and mesmerized with your material.

Import duties continue to be significant elements in the cost of international trade. Yet many companies and businesses still pay more duties than the law requires – which impacts adversely on landed cost and ultimately on business profitability. A planned approach to managing customs duty costs would look to eliminate, reduce and delay payment of customs duties.
How to reduce customs duties in your business
There are many ways to reduce customs duties. The amount of duties paid depends on four “whats”. Managing the impact of any of these “whats”, will improve business profit.
1 What the goods are, (i.e. their nature and characteristics) determines tariff code and therefore the duty rate
2 What the origin of the goods is, (i.e. where dug up, grown, farmed, further manufactured or processed NOT just shipped from) determines whether preferential, standard or additional duties are payable
3 What the structure of the transaction is (i.e. whether sale, leased, loaned, free of charge, under warranty or repair arrangement), determines customs value
4 What happens to the goods once imported (i.e. sold, further manufactured, repaired and returned, stored and re-exported) determines whether various reliefs are available.
How to use a key opportunity in customs valuation planning
A major under utilised approach to reducing duties is to look at the customs valuation. A key provision in both US and EU customs law permits the customs value to be based on any earlier sale of the same goods in a chain of transactions prior to importation. For this reason it is variously described as the “prior sale”, “earlier sale” or “chain of sales” opportunity. They all mean the same thing, i.e. lower duty!
How does this work? For example, if goods are sold by a manufacturer in the US for $60 to a US export company which, in turn, sells them to an importer in the EU for $100, duty can be paid on a value of $60, providing certain conditions are met. The savings achieved are the difference between duty on the £100 and the duty on $60. Savings of up to 40% on the duty costs are possible.
What are the benefits? The chief benefit of the approach is to save customs duty by excluding the costs and profits attributable to the non-manufacturing activities undertaken in the country of export from the customs value declared at import in the destination country (US or EU).
The approach also uncouples the value of the imported goods for customs valuation purposes from their inventory value for corporate income tax purposes. That’s good because tax and customs values are often in tension. Tax authorities tend to favour a low import value (i.e. more profit to tax), whereas customs favour a higher import value (more import duty to collect.) Using an earlier sale approach, the price paid by the importer is no longer relevant for customs purposes, so that any increase in that price will not cause an increase in the amount of customs duty.
Who can benefit? Any company or business importing goods into the EU or US can benefit from the opportunity providing there has been an earlier sale and the exporter is willing to provide the relevant invoice relating to the earlier sale. Since this involves disclosure of margins by the exporter, the approach is more attractive to international groups of companies where such disclosure is not an issue and to industries where margins are already widely known. However, exporters can still realise the benefits by importing goods into the US and EU on their own account.

Warning on dental amalgam, used in many dental fillings, causes exposure to mercury, a metal known to the state of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm
Root canal treatments and restorations including fillings, crowns and bridges, use chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer
Superior Court, California 2003
Well folks, I think the above statement by the California Superior Court ‘about-says-it-all’.
There is no minimum level of mercury which has been shown to be safe!
Indeed the W.H.O. or the World Health Organisation tells us that Mercury(Silver fillings comprise some 50% mercury then Silver, Tin, Copper and Zinc makep the rest) is safe in ZERO amounts in the human body. Remember they do not say in-parts-per-million OR parts-per-Billion BUT ZERO amounts.
So remember, if you get your amalgams removed ‘just-anywhere, by just ‘any-one’ Dentist you may also risk exposing yourself to an extremely toxic gas called ‘Methyl-Mercury’; Which is produced when your Amalgams are being ‘drilled-out’ during extraction thereof.
So please try and get to see a dentist who routinely deals with these ‘Metal-based dental issues’ from the link presented below.
Root Canal Therapy is equally unsuported by scientific validity – as dentists are not given information about the incredible side effects which are possible and common. Alzhiemer’s, MS, Immune System problems, effects on the brain and nervous system and direct poisoning from mercury and formaldehyde, are just some of the problems associated with current dental treatment.
There is another, largely unknown issue revolving around Amalgams that the average person just-would-have-no-awareness-of which is ‘THE BATTERY EFFECT’.
Yes, your amalgams generate electricity!!!!!!!!! Why? Because the definition of a Battery is: ‘2 dis-similar metals in an electrolite’. Yes this will generate electricity from your metal fillings because your amalgam is an AMALGAMATION of 5 dis-similar metals (See above) in a sea of electrolyte which is your Saliva. Therefore only just one amalgam in your mouth can generate electricity, let alone sometimes dozens which can be present in some mouths.
A rough rule-of-thumb then is that IF you have metals in your mouth AND when you touch metal surfaces ‘you-get-a-shock’ then it is highly likely your metallic teeth are highly involved & these metal extracted before something-like anaphylaxis(See below) could manifest.
However in over 12 years in addressing the full-spectrum of almost all dis-ease known to man AS WELL AS having understood the Dental question, in my opinion I have seen ‘Dental issues’ implicated in such diseases as:
Lymphoma (Clients)
Leukemia (Clients)
Other Blood dyscrasias, even chronic anaemia (Clients)
Primary Brain cancer(My 46 yo brother died of his Root canals in 1999)
Anaphylaxis -Acute imminently life-threatening shock (A close friend used to get a lot of ’shocks’ which could even ‘kill computers’ or explode light bulbs. Indeed, her anaphylaxis was so bad that when her amalgams were measured electrically they were generating 100’s of times the normal voltages the human body usually works at…No wonder her body went into shock many times per year!)
Stubborn obesity (Me and many of my Clients)
Diabetes and other blood sugar imbalances (Clients)
Chronic/acute Sinusitis (Clients/My Wife)
Chronic Hayfever (My Wife)
Chronis ear discharges(Sister-in-law)
Migraines(Clients)
Aggressive Liver cancer(A 50 yo. client who was given 3-6 months to live with what doctors called ‘aggressive-liver-cancer’. After removing her old dental plates(Dentures) and replacing same with a ‘biocompatible’ plate material even her oncologist told her the aggressive-nature of her liver cancer had eased markedly. Unfortunately she died 2 years after her diagnosis but her family thanked me after her burial for giving them some quality-time with their mother, as-well-as helping easing alot of her pain.)
Chronic neck pain(Sister-in-law) etc, all intimately involved-in or causing these diseases
