You’ve planned a shower for a bride-to-be. You’ve covered the decorations, place and guest list. What about games? Games keep the party flowing as well as serve as an icebreaker when guests don’t know each other well and keep your guests mingling. One rule of thumb is to not choose games that will not embarrass your guests or the bride. Try to plan games around the ages of the guests, the size of the venue and any theme you may have chosen.
There are a multitude of websites and books available to get you started. Here are just a few ideas to get those creative juices flowing:
Pass the Parcel is a fun icebreaker. Buy a gift, perhaps a candle or luxury body wash. Wrap the gift in several layers of wrapping paper to correspond with the number of guests. Put some music on and ask the guests to pass the present to the person sitting next to them. You may choose left or right. When the music stops, the person holding the gift gets to unwrap one layer. Repeat playing music and passing the present until the last layer is removed. The person holding the parcel then gets to keep it. To add some additional fun to this game, as each guest unwraps a layer, they might tell an anecdote about either the bride or groom.
Memory Tray is another great icebreaker game. Purchase about fifteen new items, including a tray and a tea towel. Select small kitchen utensils such as a garlic press, paring knife, cheese grater and measuring spoons. Choose those small utensils that are a must for a kitchen that one cannot do without. Spread the utensils on the tray and cover with the towel. Pass out a sheet of paper and a pencil to each guest. Remove the towel from the tray and let them look at it for about two minutes then cover with towel again. Then guests have two minutes to write down everything they can remember. The guest who remembers the most items receives a small gift and the bride gets to keep the tray, utensils and towel.
Lastly, purchase several gifts, ideally one less than the amount of guests. These should range from inexpensive and joke gifts to some nicer presents. Wrap the gifts in boxes of varying sizes and set in the middle of the room. Have the guests pull their chairs into a circle. If you have less than fifteen guests, set a timer for ten minutes, longer if you have more people. Hand the bride-to-be a set of dice and have her roll them. If she rolls doubles, she may select a gift from the pile. Pass the dice around and as guests roll doubles, they may select a gift until all the gifts are taken. The gifts are not to be opened yet. Now the real fun begins! Guests may take a gift from another if they roll a double, therefore “trading”. Continue passing the dice until the timer goes off. Whatever gift a guest may have at that point, they may keep. The fun is watching one another unwrap their presents. Often the gift most sought after turns out to be a joke gift!
These are but a very small sampling of fun activities you may plan for a bridal shower. The variations and possibilities are infinite. Most important is to have fun!

Wedding magic often arises from where you’re speaking your vows. Outdoor weddings feel different from indoor ones, and small intimate churches are very different from backyards or cathedrals. Each unique wedding site, though, has unique challenges. Choose your site, and then plan well.
If it’s popular, book it now. The Wedding Pavilion at Disneyworld is booked five years in advance. Busy venues that do events besides weddings must be booked early as well. Parks and beaches often require permits; contact the park department in your area to find out.
Do they allow it? Not everyone allows a marriage ceremony on their facilities; if you are booking the reception, make sure you can have the wedding there too. Be creative; if they say no, ask about a wedding in their garden or if they can offer a suggestion for a nearby site. And give them the information you have for scheduling, ceremony type, and number of guests at any event you’re planning to have at their location.
Ask about restrictions. Smoking, food, alcohol (especially in public parks and beaches), music, photography – any or all of these may be restricted. Historical locations often don’t like photos. Aquariums and zoos don’t like anything that disturbs the animals. And you may have to use a caterer they’ve signed a contract with, especially for more public venues like convention centers or public museums.
Get special liability insurance. You should be prepared for anything. Besides, many sites require insurance.
If it’s an outdoor wedding, make just-in-case plans. What if it rains? Have an indoor emergency venue waiting as a standby, rather than have your wedding ruined.
Ask what they’ll provide and what you must bring. This goes down to tables and chairs. Draw a map of where you want things to be situated: for the wedding, your registry, seats for guests, where the bride enters, decorations, smoking area, child-emergency area, and anything else you can think of. And for the reception, all tables and chairs, tables for gifts and for food, bride and groom’s table.
Everyone forgets the bathrooms. Visit the location before booking the wedding and look for access issues for older or handicapped guests, adequate smoking areas, diaper changing areas, bathrooms that are large enough and have mirrors, and ask about power. You may have to supply some of your own amenities, depending on what’s available. Ask about heating and A/C, as appropriate for your time of year. Do windows open? Do they have a kitchen? Is there space for a buffet? Get it settled in advance and you won’t be stuck with inadequate facilities.
At the end of the day, don’t be scared about planning your dream wedding; organise everything well in advance and you’ll be well on your way to planning the wedding you always dreamed of!

Awareness is actually very easy to develop. All you have to do is stop worrying about the past, don’t anticipate a future that hasn’t occurred and stay focused on your thoughts and actions in this very moment.
OUCH! That may seem next to impossible for many people.
The reason is conditioning. Most people are so consumed by the past and future that they miss the beauty of every moment they are actually living.
Think about that for a moment. Whenever you are stuck and thinking about anything except right now, this moment, you are truly missing the richness of every “now” you are actually living.
This moment is all that you can control. The past flavors your actions today with the wisdom of experience and your future is created by the thoughts and actions you take right now.
What kind of future are you creating today?
Recondition your thinking by simply catching yourself slipping into the familiar patterns of past or future thinking.
Catching yourself is easier than you might think. It just takes awareness of what you are thinking in any given moment.
Take this article for example. You are reading it, probably thinking of something you have to do, wish you did, or are putting off for some future “better” time.
What about your thoughts right now, as you read this?
STOP for a moment and consider what you are thinking as you read these words. Write down any ideas that you will apply to your life.
When you interrupt your old thought patterns with a big bold STOP, you are conditioning your mind to listen to your true desires and not run rampant on its own, creating confusion, stress and overwhelm.
3-fun things you can do to develop greater awareness
1. Play a round of golf. Notice what you are thinking about between shots, as you hover over the ball anticipating your next shot, or as you line up a putt. It is probably focused on what already happened or what will/may happen.
STOP, catch yourself, focus on the feeling you’ll have when you make a great shot, then take the shot. For every poor shot you hit, be aware of your actual thoughts. I’ll bet those past and future thoughts crept in there.
2. Sit quietly with a pen and paper and write down anything that comes to mind in the moment you are sitting there.
If you start thinking about a past or future STOP, reframe, and focus on right now.
When you are just sitting peacefully and not thinking of anything except right now, what thoughts do you have? Write them down, then read and reflect on them.
3. Go into nature with a camera. Don’t look for the obvious sweeping vistas. Instead look for tiny little miracles all around you like the way the sunlight plays off of a flower, the way a rock sits in a stream, the beauty of the bark on a tree, or the miracle of a blade of grass.
Notice things you seldom allow yourself to see and take a photo of them. What did you notice that you have overlooked before? How did that make you feel? Write down your feelings as you review the photos you took.
Take the awareness you gained in the exercises above and apply them to your life in business.
When you are getting ready to launch a new marketing campaign or create a new sales push how do you feel? Are you focused on results of the past or future or are you experiencing how great you’ll feel when your campaign succeeds?
Remember the great golf shot. Didn’t you make your best shots when you envisioned the outcome you really wanted?
When you are stuck with a business problem do you panic and scramble for answers or are you calmly analyzing the situation; allowing your mind to peacefully explore and find new ideas that solve old challenges?
Remember how great it felt to relax and explore your feelings and thoughts in a given moment.
How about when are looking for new ways to grow your revenues. Are you aware only of the obvious sweeping vistas?
Remember the small miracles that you discovered simply by looking for them.
Awareness is a state of mind. It is focused on right here and now, instead of a past or a future.
The creative mind is aware of everything. It’s your past/future panic thoughts that comes in to block the beauty of this moment; keeping you stuck in the realm of confusion instead of open to the beauty of your personal genius in this very moment.

Do you ever find yourself complaining to others, to the universe, or to God about the course of events in your life? If so do you ever ask yourself what purpose such complaining is supposed to fulfill for you?
Strange question isn’t it? That is because you probably never thought it even had a purpose until now did you? Rather it probably just feels like an automatic behavior that is out of your control.
Well if you think about it for a moment I think you’ll recognize that the underlying purpose might include some of the following:
1. To get sympathy for your situation so you’ll feel better.
2. To get right into justifying your victim hood so that you can solicit pity from yourself or others so that you can feel better.
3. To solicit some form of rescue or help from others so that you won’t have to address the situation yourself.
4. So that you can get yourself off the hook from being responsible and accountable for your current situation.
5. So that you won’t have to face your fears of making mistakes in attempting to fix whatever is not right in your life.
6. To portray yourself as a victim because victims get attention and respect here on planet earth from others.
Do I have to go on or are you becoming more conscious of what I’m talking about.
Does any of this feel good to you? If you feel how it feels to become aware of any of this I think you will see that none of it feels good.
You might be feeling embarrassed or ashamed.
Well what does that tell you? It tells you that holding onto such needs reduces both the quality of your life and your sense of personal integrity.
Is that what you want? I doubt it.
Such patterns of behavior have likely been so ingrained in your way of relating to the world that you may feel hard pressed to change any of them.
A place to begin is to recognize that no one other than yourself is responsible for your life situation.
Hard pill to swallow? Well what’s the alternative?
It’s to believe that you have little or no control over your life. Does that make you feel better?
If you notice how that feels I think you will start to find in those feelings the motivation you will need to shift your entire perspective on yourself.
This easier said than done however especially if you choose to go on entertaining the many lies about who you are not and what you are not capable of.

What is this I Will Power? Does everyone have this power? If they do, how do we find it? These are all very good questions and I’ll do my best to answer these questions and many more that you have. What is The I Will Power? It sort of goes like this, When you get a picture in your head of something that you want do you stop and say to yourself, I can’t afford that or It may happen for them but not for me.
I say stop right there! Whether you think you can or can’t you are right! Now do you get the meaning of that last sentence? Let it radiate inside your mind. WHETHER YOU THINK YOU CAN OR CAN’T YOU ARE RIGHT! Now how does this I will power work? Well you need first to realize that you do indeed have this I will power.
Not when I get this or that but I know I will get that or anything that I so desire, it all rest on the I will power. Can I do great things? Only if you beileive that you can and approach it with the I will power, I mean we can’t go up unless we can first go down, there just can’t be the one without the other, so grab all the engery that you possible can and belive that you poses this power of your will, to do this or that.
Can you see the fact that if you will only first see the dream in your mind and hold it there and refuse to let go, hold it there with your will and sooner lather than later you will end up getting what it is that you want. Use your will to get this, use your will to get that. Use, Use, Use your will to get the things that you want.
How can you, you are asking yourself? Ok letme put it this way. If you need to get money for you and your family to eat, you go to work everyday don’t you? You do just enough to survive and not a minute more. Ok I made my point why were you able to go to work everyday and or just do enough to get by? That’s write your will power, without it we would all be sunk! Can it be that simple, yes it can and it is. You used your will to make 30,000 dollars last year, what is holding you back from 300,000 dollars? You are right it’s your will power again.
So if you want something bad enough to were you have a burning desire to get it and the flame will just not be put out and your I WILL POWER to it and stand back and watch the sparks fly, cause when the WILL get’s involved things start to happen and before you know it you will be putting one foot in front of the other and soon you will be walking out the door!

Shelling out a huge sum for something that entails a lot of risks is downright scary, especially for the donor. $20 million can do a lot of things for philanthropic pursuits, such as construction of buildings, book donations, clean-up drives, and barbecue cookouts, to name a few. But for the advancement of a relatively new field of science such as biophotonics, a donation that humongous begs the question, “Have they lost it? What is biophotonics anyway?”For the Ted Waitt Family Foundation though, biophotonics is an unchartered region that needs to be ventured into, even with hazards that might come along the way. The Salk Institute, the benefactor of the Ted Waitt Family Foundation’s $20 million grant, is determined to use the money to improve and save lives by delving more into the field. The first on the list: a highly advanced research facility.Wikipedia defines biophotonics as “a combination of biology and photonics, with photonics being the science and technology of generation, manipulation, and detection of photons, quantum units of light. Photonics is related to electronics in that it is believed that photons will play a similar central role in future information technology as electrons do today.” While for some people plunging into the unknown is more like an act of lunacy, the Ted Waitt Family Foundation plows on ahead and doggedly supports avenues that promise unprecedented levels of progress for humanity. One also cannot deny the fact that in the world of science surprises are lurking in every nook and corner.

Doing leaflet distribution services are some of the cleanest means to derive your standing over your contenders. How? Direct Mailing is the answer. By using a unremitting leaflet distribution campaign you can attain utmost
exposure via the letterbox. Its a very over looked advertising strategy which turns out very good, that is ofcourse is using leafleting
If your merchandise is made to attract to a worldwide market and you want to focus on a very unique region, door to door campaigning is a good, dirt cheap way of achieving your direct market.
But aware in the readying of your leaflet distribution promotion as this is fundamental if you are to make the most of your investment.
Leaflet distribution permits you to return specified response from directed groups of clients. It’s a specially
multipurpose instrument for small business enterprises because it lets you to focus reasonable resources where they are most probably to develop result and measure the success of promotions accurately by taking apart answers. Just remember that the results of leaflet distributoin aren’t assured. A badly projected or aimed promotion will be a waste of cash
There are a number of different methods in which leaflet distribution has been utilized in a political way. Many of these grounds are as follows. One of the most frequent uses of pamphlet distribution is to provide individuals with information to counterpunch info that has been delivered by the opponent. The pamphlets can also be applied to threaten individuals with an assault. This is particularly likely in disputes in which ground forces can inform opposition military personnels that they will invade if no follow up action is made. The leaflets in war situations are often used to encourage the opposition to surrender and if how to go about surrendering without facilitating a retaliation.
If you have decided that a leaflet distribution will be a good form of promoting in order to bring in some much required likely business, then you need to set about the chore of selecting the most flushed business to conduct the promotion for you.
There are many factors to be considered when doing this, these are significant in incurring the best results from your distribution.
You need to consider where you are going to aim your booklets and the coverage and incursion that you want to accomplish. Accountability may be a problem if matters do not go according to plan, so this requires to be considered against the number of financial outlay.

Benjamin Franklin said, “Never leave that till tomorrow which you can do today.”
For far too many people, procrastination is a success-breaker. By that I mean that the continual putting off of things that must be done will ultimately keep you from reaching your dreams. Success is always a series of steps, taken one at a time. If we continually refuse to take some of those steps, we will never reach our goals.
Putting off what needs to be done will never get you to the top; never get you to your goals, never get you to your dreams. I know that is a somewhat negative way of saying it but sometimes we need to be confronted by the harsh reality of life in order to move us off of dead center.
What have you been procrastinating doing that needs to be done?
I encourage you today to start doing those things that have been on your “to-do” list for far too long and get them out of your mind. In some cases, maybe some of those items just simply need to be taken off the list altogether.
My wife and I received a weight-training machine from a friend who did not have room for it any longer. His movers put it in our garage and our intent was to watch the video that came with it and begin using it to get in better shape.
Guess what? We never watched the video and never used the machine for two years. It became a source of frustration. It was taking up space in our garage but more importantly it was taking up space in our minds! Our procrastination led to frustration.
Our friend recently moved into a larger home and I asked him to have the movers come back and get his machine. It is gone and we feel better! (By the way, we have a dog now and get exercise walking her!)
Are there some things on your “to-do” list that can simply and finally be removed?
I would also suggest, beginning each day by doing something on your list. If it is work related and you can delegate it do so. If it is something around the home, make the call needed to get the wheels in motion.
Occasionally I need to go through the papers and articles that begin to clutter my desktop so that I can function better. I have been like everyone else and shuffled some papers for far too long when I could have saved a lot of time and effort by just dealing with it. I now try my best to handle it once and be done with it. A friend, who used to be the head of a major corporation, used to say, “When in doubt, throw it out!” That’s been a helpful thing for me to remember.
What have you been delaying doing? Why? Do it now, do it today and get it off of your mind.
You’ll feel better once you have done it and you’ll be in a better state to accomplish even more tomorrow!
Procrastination can be a success-breaker; but when you break it you’ll begin to break-through to the success you desire!
Good, ol’ Ben had it right! Do it today!
