Norwegian Innovator Does it Again with MusicDNA
Dagfinn Bach, the erstwhile innovator of the first mp3 player, has come out with a brand new song format, which, other than the song itself, can also hold additional information such as song lyrics, videos and other information regarding the file. The Norwegian who is also credited with coming out with the mp3 format has the correct stature as well. This new format is called MusicDNA and has the capability of storing 32GB of additional data on the file itself and the file itself can be updated from time to time. Thus, whenever a customer connects to the net, all information about the song gets updated on its own so that even if an interview about a musician is available then it will attach itself to the song as well.
When they were talking at a music congress Dagfinn Bach stated that they can give a file that is very much able to be accessed and can hold as much as 32GB of additional data and it will update on its own whenever the consumer connects to the internet. The only problem is that it does not have the support of any big music company and has competition from Apple’s iTunes LP which also gives consumers a similar file and thus will probably take a while to become accepted.
Its beta version will be launched in spring and the full version of MusicDNA will be out in the end of summer.
